If you want to opt for vitamin C supplements, the health service explains that adults between the ages of 16 to 64 need 40mg of vitamin C a day. While you should be able to get all of this vitamin from your diet, some people reach for supplements instead. However, if you decide to take the dietary product you shouldn’t take too much as this could be “harmful”, the NHS notes. “Taking less than 1,000mg of vitamin C supplements a day is unlikely to cause any harm ,” it shares.
